The best hair extensions are typically made using human hair – some of which, like that sold under Remy, is graded for quality. The human hair used in these products is sourced from all over the world in order to ensure variety in colour and texture, but the vast majority of high-quality batches are derived from India.

Synthetic hair extensions are also available. They’re typically made from acrylic fibres designed to mimic the texture and behaviour of human hair, but can’t stand heat styling in most circumstances. For this reason, the Hair Ministry team deal only in high-quality human hair.
